Add your first pet
Create a pet profile in Petus, add a photo, check the details and start keeping your pet’s health information together.
The guided setup starts with a photo and a few short questions. You can also introduce your pet in chat.
Start with a photo
Snap or upload one photo. Petus suggests a species and breed, then asks you to check and edit those suggestions before saving the profile. No photo handy? Introduce your pet in chat instead: "This is Maple, she's a three-year-old beagle" — name and species are enough to begin.
Add details when they come up
Breed, weight, birthday, allergies — mention them in conversation any time, or open the pet's page and add them there. Check the saved details on the profile; not every sentence in a conversation becomes a record entry.
Bring the history
Upload vet records, lab results, or a vaccination book as photos or PDFs. Petus reads them and builds the timeline, so day one starts with years of history.
A few things worth knowing
- Add the whole household. Every pet gets their own record; you share one conversation.
- Fix anything by saying so. "Actually, Maple is four" is all it takes.
- Nothing is locked in. You can edit or remove any detail from the pet's page.
