Referral packets — the record arriving with the referral — open with the practice launch. Petus assembles the pet's record as of a cutoff date into one self-contained document:

The owner reviews the packet, consents, and sends it to you themselves. Petus generates and fingerprints the document; delivery is the owner's act. What arrives needs no login and no Petus account to read.

Each packet carries a SHA-256 fingerprint over its exact contents, so you can verify the document is exactly what Petus generated: nothing added, nothing removed.
