San Francisco, February 2026 — Today, we're incredibly excited to announce that Petus has raised $30 million in Series A funding to accelerate our mission: making quality pet healthcare accessible to every pet parent, everywhere.
The Problem We're Solving
Every pet parent knows the feeling. It's 2 AM, your dog is acting strange, and you're spiraling down a Google rabbit hole of terrifying possibilities. By morning, you're exhausted, anxious, and no closer to knowing if your furry friend is okay.
We've been there too. That's why we built Petus.
What This Funding Means
This round was led by Index Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz Bio Fund, with participation from strategic angels including founders of leading telehealth companies.
With this funding, we will:
1. Build the World's Best Pet Health AI
Our AI isn't just another chatbot. It's trained on millions of veterinary cases, reviewed by licensed veterinarians, and designed to understand context—your pet's breed, age, health history, and the specific nuances of your question.
We're investing heavily in multimodal AI that can analyze photos of rashes, lumps, and symptoms to provide even more accurate guidance.
2. Partner with Clinics Worldwide
We're announcing our Petus Clinic Network—a global partnership program with veterinary clinics. When you need in-person care, Petus will seamlessly connect you with trusted local clinics who already have your pet's complete health history.
No more filling out the same forms. No more explaining your pet's history from scratch. Just better care, faster.
3. Launch in 50+ Countries
Pet parents everywhere deserve peace of mind. We're expanding beyond the US to Europe, Asia, and Latin America in the next 18 months, with localized AI that understands regional breeds, common conditions, and local veterinary practices.
4. Introduce Petus Stories
We believe every pet has a story worth sharing. Later this year, we're launching Petus Stories—a journaling feature where you can document your pet's life, milestones, and memories. Share your pet's journey with friends, family, or the community.
